So here I am this afternoon doing my weekly chores and such... like bleaching whites and hanging them on the line...the good old fashioned way of doing things aah...I love it.
I love using my vintage ringer washer for all my soaking and bleach loads.
I bought this Queenie last year when I noticed that my new front loader was not getting my whites as white as I like. So here she is and she does such a fabulous job. Please stop by
Faded Charm to see all of the lovelies that are posted this week for White Wednesday.

What a beauty she is what a find!!! Hope you are getting settled in at your new digs and having a great time decorating too. Take care and my best to you and your family

WOW I didn't know anyone used these anymore. Great piece! I remember doing laundry on one of these shortly after we got married at my mother-in-laws place. :)

I tried to leave a comment, but don't see it so I will try again.
ReplyDeleteNeat washer! I didn't know anyone still uses these. I used my mother-in-law's after we first got married. I have never used one before that! Oh the memories! :)

I love old wringer washers. I grew up using one and we still have it and it still works! If you get a chance, check out my blog, I have a post showing my old Maytags. They really do get whites white! visiting from Faded Charm...

What good shape it is in! I remember a neighbor/cousin with a wringer washer. Do you really use it/? Cool, Lezlee
ReplyDeleteAww!! I love it! I like to line dry clothes too. Hmm... I gotta keep an eye out for one of those babies!

Ha, looks like my first washer and that was only because we couldn't afford an automatic washer and dryer, so everything went on the line. Hated the towels if it wasn't windy enough-stiff as a board. I did a ton of diapers in that thing and really how white is white... :) Give me my front loader!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your enthusiasm...
Hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Blessings

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous find!! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, You really brought back the memories for me. I can remember using a washing machine like yours. I can also remember using a wash board and tub. It reminds me of my childhood on the farm. Have a great day. A Missouri Friend.
